2007 ZMOR "Russian River Valley" Pinot Noir is made largely from grapes grown at the
Martinelli Seven Mules Vineyard close to River Road. A small portion of the wine is sourced from
several blocks at the lower end of the Roller Coaster vineyard, which we control exclusively and
from which we also make a separate designate. This lovely, supple wine offers our customers a
more affordable entrée to the Russian River Valley appellation. 2008 ZMOR "Roller Coaster" Pinot Noir is made exclusively from grapes grown at the Roller
Coaster Vineyard, a small parcel that we control. The vineyard is located at the west end of the
Russian River Valley appellation on a bench adjacent to the Russian River. There are 4 distinct
blocks, two of which form the core of this signature bottling. The cool site allows the grapes to
mature with full flavor at lower sugar levels; perfect for our consistent style of the last 3 decades. 2007 ZMOR "Loop the Loop" Pinot Noir is a winemakers selection of barrels from a specific
single block within the Roller Coaster Vineyard. Through oak tone and site specific grape
growing we have created a wine that will be rewarded with a bit of bottling aging. Loop the Loop
further plays off the vineyard's name, paying homage to the first loop roller coaster ever built in
Coney Island--circa 1901. 2007 ZMOR "Russian River Valley" Dry Gewürztraminer is sourced from the Martinelli and SaraLee
Vineyards. Bone dry yet brimming with lush apricot, litchi, fig, apple, citrus and spice flavors,
this silky smooth wine has amazing balance, mouth feel and length, and offers a stunning
expression of just how good Russian River grapes can be. Zmor pioneered the varietal's dry style
and continues to provide an alternative to the examples from Alsace that are ever increasing in
residual sugar. |
