From 1985 to 1995 Daniel Moore's ZMOORE winery was known as the preeminent New World benchmark in high-end barrel-fermented dry Gewürztraminer. The original winemaker for Martinelli Vineyards, Daniel worked with Martinelli's exceptional Gewürztraminer vines to create wine for both the Martinelli family's label as well as his own. Then, in 1995, with a full-time job at another Russian River Valley winery (Lynmar), Daniel decided to put ZMOORE on hold. In 2005, Zmor was launched to pick up where the label left off. Today, Daniel uses his 28 vintages of experience in the Russian River Valley to produce wines of great depth and complexity. Over the years his style has remained true to his vision—to produce wines that have balance, elegance, and finesse.
